This charming country finca is a rare find!
Located on the edge of the National Park ´Sierra de las Nieves´, it boasts the most stunning panoramic views. Surrounded by the beauty and tranquillity of the Andalusian countryside, you are still very close to the village of Guaro and only 35 minutes from the coast of Marbella. The house is surrounded by a large plot of land, which is fully fenced and suitable to keep animals.
From the village of Guaro a winding road takes you up the hill and into the countryside. Double gates lead you onto the property and when you walk up to the house, you are met by the the most stunning panoramic views! Looking North, you see the mountains of the ´Sierra de las Nieves´ and within the distance the whitewashed villages of Alozaina and Yunquera. The village of Guaro and the mountains of the ´Sierra de Mijas´ are facing the South side of the property.
The land wraps the house in different levels and is fully fenced. There are pine trees, almonds, olive trees and several fruit trees. Various terraces provide ideal spots to enjoy the Spanish sun and the walled pool area with large size pool also has plenty of space for sunbathing.
The house has a lovely authentic character and is all on one level. It has been finished to modern standards with oil central heating, double glazing, air-conditioning, security alarm and window shutters on the North-side of the property. You enter the house into a hallway which leads to the open plan living room, dining room and kitchen to your left. To your right is an extra sitting lounge. Plenty of windows provide lots of natural light and beautiful views. There are 2 double bedrooms with large fitted wardrobes. The master bedroom has a private sitting area as well as an en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet. There is a second bedroom with a bathroom next door to it. Originally the house had a third bedroom which the current owners have converted into an extra lounge area attached to the living room but this could easily be converted back to a bedroom if required.
From the kitchen and dining area you access a traditional walled courtyard with BBQ area. A door leads to the garden/land and pool. There are several storage areas on the property and a covered car port for the car.
This charming Finca is in very good condition and has all paperwork (including an AFO) in place. For horse lovers the land would be suitable to keep 1-2 horses. You could create a paddock around the house and the surroundings are great to hack out!
GUARO
Guaro is a modest white village, located on the edge of the Sierra de las Nieves natural park. Thanks to its elevated position, at over 350 metres above sea level, the village offers privileged views across the surrounding countryside.The area is known for producing almonds and olives, which is an important part of the local economy. Guaro has it ́s own olive mill, where locals have their harvests pressed. On the Grapevine Properties Youtube channel, you find a video about this authentic mill and the harvest process of the locals. The village of Guaro is also used as an Eastern base for access to the Sierra de las Nieves, where you have stunning nature hikes and adventurous activities. It is the ideal spot for outdoor lovers, which also offers a few famous cultural activities like the Luna Mora festival in September. Like many white villages in Andalucia, the village dates back to the Arabic occupation of Spain. Luna Mora, translated as Moorish Moon is an historic celebration with arts, crafts and music in the open air amphitheatre of the village. Throughout the evenings of the festival, there is a Moorish style street souk, and the entire village is illuminated by over 20.000 candles which is truly beautiful to experience! Each July the village celebrates its annual pilgrimage parade or ‘Romeria' terminating at the tiny chapel of ‘Ermita del Santuario del Puerto'. Another typical Andalusian event, where everybody is welcome to join in. Guaro is located 55 minutes (50 km.) from the city of Málaga and the airport and the beaches of the Costa del Sol (Marbella) are only a 35 minute (24 km.) drive away!
